The Meigs County Family and Children First Council is a team of parents and professionals, encompassing a variety of agencies and organizations, that provide services to families and children in Meigs County

The Meigs County Family and Children First Council is recruiting parent representatives to work in partnership with public and private agencies to help children reach their potential. In order to be eligible, a family must be receiving, or have received in the past, services from an agency represented on the Council. Roles of the parent representative include: educating other families about the Council; helping agencies work more effectively with families; and expressing family insight on the impact of proposed policies and activities. Meetings are held the third Thursday in the months of January, March, May, July, September and November at 8:30 a.m. For more information, please call (740) 444-7610.

The Warm Line, provided by Hopewell Health Centers,  is a 24 hour hotline that is provided to serve Jackson, Gallia, and Meigs Counties during this crisis. Hopewell Health Centers will be providing clinical staff to respond to calls, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,  for individuals in need of immediate services, as well as to coordinate aftercare and provide resources.
